I won't say something corny or quote anything cliche. All I can tell you is that joining Lambdas was one of the best decisions I made since entering college. The people, the experience: everything was, is and will always be worthwhile.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure...We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?" ~Marianne Williamson. I think this quote best summarizes one of the greatest values of the brotherhood. We pride ourselves in being great individuals, and by great I don't mean exceptionally smart, good looking, or talented. The greatness I am referring to is the greatness of our hearts, our friendships, our personalities- none of which can be measured by some golden standard. It is because we live by our own standards of greatness that we succeed not only as individuals, but as brothers.

Being a part of this fraternity isn't an easy thing, nor is it superficial. You get to be a bro only through dedication, hard work, and lots of heart, and you?ll find out that once you?re in the House, you?ll put in extra dedication, extra work, and extra heart. Sometimes you might ask yourself, "Why am I doing this?" But you?ll soon realize that you do it because of your pledge brothers, and the people already in Lambdas. When you really need help, they?re the ones that?ll be there for you.
