Where else in college can you find a group of people, united under a common goal and set of principles, whose mettle has been tried and proven true, whose character has been proven time and time again without question? Where else can you find a family of undeniable loyalty and unfaltering brotherhood? You can't.

Everybody's different, but I believe that as long as you value good friends & are willing to put in your time and heart, you'll have an irreplaceable experience.

I joined Lambda Phi Epsilon searching for people at Columbia of outstanding character, and for people that I could depend on regardless of adverse situations. In the end, I found much more. The brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon pushed me beyond what I thought I could do and showed me that I could succeed; during the times when I was on the verge of failure, brothers were there to pull me back from the edge and help me achieve my goals. Through Lambda Phi Epsilon, I have met people throughout the country--not just other Lambdas--who share similar experiences as myself. For example, I met my girlfriend, a Stanford alpha Kappa Delta Phi, through Lambda Phi Epsilon. In the end, this fraternity showed me that there's so much more in myself, at Columbia, and across the country than I ever imagined before.

Some people see me as more reserved, but as my brothers know, I'm actually a really passionate person. I don't like to waste my time, and Lambda certainly didn't. The fraternity and all the experiences it encompasses--being mentored by older brothers and mentoring younger brothers, chilling together, throwing parties, working on community service projects together--these are all worthwhile endeavors that I throw all my effort into. If you want to feel passionate about something, Lambda's for you--no regrets.
