Two aspects of Lambda I want to really highlight here--pledging and mentorship. Actually, you might really just say it's the same thing. You won't know until you actually experience it, but just imagine biological older siblings that look out for you, that older friend you had in high school. They'll let you know when you're doing something wrong, and they'll teach you and help you out. It's life-changing (in a good way, of course). That's what Lambda's about--bros looking out for other bros. I can't count the number of times alumni, even ones I didn't go to school with, have helped me out with some internship advice, resumes, job interviews, etc. Our alumni network is strong and successful. They have no need to come back to school, but they always do, because of how much they care about the fraternity. That's the example they've set for me, and that's what I will do for the younger bros in the fraternity when I graduate as well. |

I love my brothers. I like them so much... we party together late, we study together late, we eat together late, we wake up late for classes together... we take showers separately though. Seriously, best decision I've made in college. Since joining Lambda, I've taken large responsibilities as social chair and philanthropy chair. Organizing brotherhood and community events (such as negotiating with club owners for parties) has taught me and given me skills I will use later in life, and I couldn't have done it without the help of older brothers. Currently, I'm pre-med, and the advice that other brothers have given me has really helped me a long the way. |

I'll tell you what Lambda is not. Lambda Phi Epsilon is not a club, and it's not superficial. If you're looking for something meaningful, for mentorship, for relationships that last beyond the dorm that you live in or club that you're currently doing work for, Lambda is for you. |
